Crowns

A crown can restore the function, shape, appearance, and strength of a tooth compromised by decay or damage. Dr. Wynne likes to use tooth-colored crowns made of porcelain or porcelain fused to metal so that your smile will maintain its all-white beauty. Because a dental ceramist has to hand make your custom crown in a dental lab, expect two visits for preparation and placement.

At your first visit, Dr. Wynne will prepare your tooth and make an impression to send to our lab. He'll then place a temporary crown, which will protect your tooth while you await your second appointment. At that follow-up visit, Dr. Wynne will remove your temporary crown and permanently affix the restoration from our lab. He'll make sure that your teeth come together properly when you bite down, then you can enjoy a strong, healthy tooth. What a reason to smile!

Call to schedule your appointment with Dr. Wynne if you have a damaged tooth or suffer with a toothache. Our office in Raleigh serves patients from Cary, Morrisville, and Apex.
